Crews continue to battle a forest fire west of West Kelowna.
Located on Gottfriedsen Mountain, the blaze is now estimated at 550 hectares in size.
The good news is it is not threatening any structures.
The BC Wildfire Service says the blaze is located about 24 kilometres away from the Westbank town centre and 8 k north of Highway 97.
The arrival of a cold front should end heat warnings in many parts of B-C, but the gusty winds coming with it could fan a number of potentially dangerous wildfires.
There are nearly 500 forest fires burning in the province.
The B-C Wildfire Service lists 31 fires of note but hasn't yet added several blazes which have already prompted evacuation orders or alerts.
