A former Kelowna school superintendent - fired for misappropriating almost $29,000 - has now had his teaching certificate temporarily suspended.
Greg Bitgood was fired from his job as head of the Kelowna Heritage Christian School in September of last year.
The Teacher Regulation Branch has now suspended his teaching license for three months after he admitted to professional misconduct.
Bitgood has agreed to pay the money back to the school in monthly installments.
He had been superintendent of the school for 20 years.
