Kelowna RCMP have ruled out foul play in the death of a West Kelowna man last month.
The 48-year-old was found in a parking lot near Sutherland Avenue and Gordon Drive on June 24 after officers received a dropped 911 call. The cell phone used to make the call was found near the man.
At the time, police said his death was suspicious and asked the public for help in identifying a woman who was seen in the area.
Police now say their investigation has determined the death is not suspicious and have turned it over to the B.C. Coroners Service.
"The Kelowna RCMP wanted to thank all of those who approached investigators or who called in and provided information, as it assisted us with completing this investigation in a timely manner" said Corporal Tania Carroll in a news release.
