Two men and two women have been arrested and face charges after Kelowna RCMP investigated a report of a suspicious vehicle Wednesday afternoon.
On February 1, at 4:42 pm, Kelowna RCMP received a report of a suspicious vehicle seen parked in front of a business in the 1600 block of Water Street.
An officer with the RCMP Downtown Enforcement Unit did a check of the licence plate attached to the suspicious vehicle and learned the plate had been reported stolen to the RCMP in Kelowna on January 25th.
Several people inside vehicle were then arrested and police seized cans of bear spray, a collapsible baton, suspected cocaine, several flaps of suspected methamphetamine and various items consistent with illegal drug use and trafficking.
Further investigation has revealed that the black 2006 Ford F-150 pickup truck had allegedly been stolen from the North Okanagan area.
A 28-year-old North Okanagan man, a 26-year-old Kelowna woman and a 20-year-old West Kelowna woman each faces potential charges. They were later released from police custody and are expected to appear in court on a later date.
A 26-year-old Prince George man, also faces potential property and breach related charges. Additionally, the man was the subject of several outstanding warrants for his arrest in BC.
He was held in police custody and appeared in court today (Thursday).
