Kelowna RCMP have arrested a man who inexplicably set fire to landscaped sidewalks on Harvey Avenue over the weekend.
Sunday afternoon just before 12:30, police got reports of the man in the area of Harvey and Spall, where he was setting fire to a small green space with a blow torch.
Police then heard that the same man had been trying to set even more fires from the sidewalk, as he'd been walking west along Harvey.
Officers then caught up to him near the intersection with Burtch Road, and arrested him.
The majority of the damage was to landscaping, though one billboard was burned.
The 21-year-old appeared in court on Monday.
