A winter storm is headed our way - Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Okanagan including Kelowna, Penticton and Vernon.
A deepening Pacific low pressure system is starting to track up and across northern Washington state bringing heavy snow.
The weather office says the snow will begin tonight continuing through Wednesday morning with totals between 15 and 25 cms - the highest amounts are expected near the U-S border.
On Wednesday, the snow will begin tapering off before an arctic front sweeps through on Thursday bringing colder temperatures.
Overnight lows will drop to between minus 10 and minus 15 - with daytime highs several degrees below zero.
