A large plume of smoke and several 911 calls brought the Kelowna RCMP to Richter Street on Saturday afternoon.
Upon arriving at the scene, a first responder found that approximately 20 feet of cedar hedge had caught fire.
Most of the blaze was already extinguished by residents at the scene using garden hoses and fire extinguishers, and fire crews were able to put out the rest of it.
The fire was contained to the hedge, and was considered to be accidental in nature.
