The high winds we've been warning about came through Kelowna today knocking down trees onto power lines, and in one case, causing a barn roof to collapse in Glenrosa.
Environment Canada's Doug Lundquist says gusts at Kelowna International Airport were clocked at 70-kilometres-per-hour - while Kamloops had gusts up to 104 kph.
He says the worst of it should be over now.
"One of the things about these kinds of storms is they have a major blast and then it calms down fairly quickly behind it," says Lundquist. "As the day goes by the wind should decrease even more, and throughout the night, and tomorrow should feel much calmer."
However, Lundquist says there's another system in behind this one that, if it shifts, could bring heavy snow to the Coquihalla Summit - possible 10 to 20 centimetres this afternoon or evening.
Right now, Environment Canada is warning about a chance of heavy snow and high winds on the Trans-Canada between Eagle Pass and Rogers Pass.
