25 Canadian communities have been announced as hosts of Hometown Hockey broadcasts this NHL season. There will be 4 stops in BC: Esquimalt, Whistler, Langley and West Kelowna.
“It’s a family-friendly 2-day weekend event and it has live entertainment, I understand there’s NHL alumni that come, and a lot of activities for everyone to take part in,” said City of West Kelowna Communications Supervisor, Kirsten Jones. “It culminates in the broadcast of a national NHL game, and that’s where we get to meet Ron MacLean and Tara Slone.”
The event will be held on January 19th and 20th at the Mount Boucherie Recreation Complex. The NHL game that will be featured is between the Arizona Coyotes and Toronto Maple Leafs, played in Toronto on Sunday night.
