So far this year, Kelowna has seen 21 Illicit drug deaths.
That compares with 33 all of last year.
The BC Corners Service says last month, 24 people died in Interior Health.
In the Okanagan, 38 people have lost their lives so far this year to illicit drug use.
Since a public health emergency was declared in BC in 2016, nearly 45-hundred people have fatally overdosed on fentanyl.
