A 9 year old West Kelowna boy recieved a special gift from 2 NHLers this morning at KGH.
Cylis Bagnall was a batboy at the first annual Homebase Charity SloPitch Tournament All-Star Match this past Canada Day long weekend. Cylis had his jersey stolen from his Mom’s car while at a convenience store. A jersey he’d had signed during the game by at least 15 of the celebrity NHL players. Shortly after hearing about the story on Twitter, Josh Gorges contacted the KGH Foundation to say he’d do his best to right the wrong.
Cylis and his Mom, Brenda, went to pick up a newly the signed jersey this morning. There, they were greeted by Gorges and former Kelowna Rocket, and current Montreal Canadien defenceman Shea Weber. Gorges gave Cy his own jersey that he wore during the All-Star match, with a whole new set of autographs on it.
