Kangaroo Creek Farm is developing an exit strategy from its current location.
The farm says increased visitors each year and limited parking is making it difficult for them to continue to operate in their downtown Lake Country location.
“Every year our visitation increases which puts pressure on us to develop more parking around the farm,” says Owner Caroline MacPherson “This year we added a second parking lot but its use may be short term as we could not get more than one year’s lease.”
The farm says it’s only in the due diligence phase of finding a new location and that it will be at least 2 years before a move happens.
While it remains to be seen where the farm will move to, MacPherson says it will almost certainly be somewhere in the Lake Country area.
The farm has been a popular tourist attraction in the Okanagan since it opened on Hill Rd in 2012, seeing thousands of visits each year.
