Kelowna is asking for feedback on short-term rentals such as Airbnb.
It's the first major step the city has taken towards regulating short-term rentals in the city.
The survey follows a directive from council to staff, to look at ways to allow the rentals that balances the needs of residents, businesses and other stakeholders.
The city says the number of short-term rentals in Kelowna, listed on websites like Airbnb, appears to be growing, and bylaw staff receive about 50 complaints about them annually.
The survey closes on December 3.
Lindsey Ganczar, Community Planning Supervisor says they hope to present the feedback received from the public to council sometime in the winter.
She says actual policy changes wouldn’t go before council until summer or fall 2018.
