June is Brain Injury Awareness Month and Co-CEO of BrainTrust Canada Mia Burgess wants people to know they have plenty of resources for those living with one.
“Brain injury is an invisible injury is how we refer to it, so sometimes people's behaviors is misattributed to other causes. So, what we really want to do is let people know that they're not alone and that we do provide supports for persons with acquired brain injuries as well as their caregivers.”
BrainTrust and the city of Kelowna will be lighting up the Spirit of Sail statue in blue on June 23rd to help raise awareness.
