As Okanagan Lake continues to rise due to rainfall, and a melting snowpack, flood protection work continues.
As the lake rose another 2 cms Wednesday to its predicted high water level - emergency officials are reminding homeowners along the waterfront to protect their properties.
In the meantime - Kelowna public works crews are installing bladder dams at Kinsmen Park, Sutherland Park and Tug Boat Park today, as well as sandbag walls at Manhattan Drive Beach Access and Watt Road.
The work is based on a survey of waterfront properties that are most prone to lake flooding.
Local governments are also working to have information about parks and beaches affected by flooding on their websites as we head into the long weekend - and there's also more info at www.cordemergency.ca
