Rutland supportive housing
Council issued a development permit for a four-storey, 50-unit supportive housing apartment building at 280 McIntosh Road. The development is funded by BC Housing and will be operated by the John Howard Society of Central and South Okanagan. The project includes a large outdoor fenced area with a resident’s garden, a dog run, a separate secure bike storage building and a large grassy area.
Rental incentives
Council heard proposed changes to the Rental Housing Grant Program to ensure that the grants are aiding those projects that have the greatest impact on promoting affordability in the long-term rental market. The full report can be read here.

Council heard an overview of existing and projected future transportation conditions, along with a summary of future challenges and opportunities to be addressed in the upcoming Transportation Master Plan.
