Springfield multi-family
A development permit was issued for a townhouse proposal on a vacant lot on Brookside Ave and Springfield Rd. The proposed development is a six-unit, three-storey townhouse complex, with each unit having three bedrooms and a two car garage.
Dilworth multi-family
Council issued a development permit for five duplexes on a vacant lot at 777 Denali Dr in Dilworth. Each is two storeys in height with an attached double car garage.
Pandosy multi-family
At the request of the Mayor, Council reconsidered and approved second and third reading to the proposed rezoning and Official Community Plan amendments for a six-storey, 22-unit condo building in the 400-block of Groves Ave.
Community Social Development Grants
Council received background information about the 2019 Community Social Development Grant program. The Community Social Development Grants include operational, project and emergency grants and are administered by the Central Okanagan Foundation on the City’s behalf. Twelve local organizations will receive grants in 2019 totaling $187,000, including Kelowna Pride Society, Autism Okanagan, Project Literacy, NOW Canada, Canadian Mental Health Association Kelowna and Karis Support Society.
