A local trucking company has postponed a fundraiser to help the thousands of people displaced by flooding in Grand Forks.
Alison Wolfe, from Pro-Ex Transport, says they planned to park a trailer at the Superstore on Baron Road in Kelowna this morning (May 15th), but after talking with emergency officials - decided to hold-off until later in the week..
"EOC called last night, after we got the press release out, and because they're expecting more flooding - they're not quite sure when they're going to be able to accept all of the donations - but we're still planning on holding the event and sending down some emergency items - it'll just be later this week," says Wolfe.
AM 1150 News will let you know when ithe event is happening, and then you can bring down items like bottled water, blankets, personal items, non-perishable foods, and clothing.
