There's been a jump at some of the pumps - gas prices in Kelowna have increased 7-cents-a-litre to $119.9.
GasBuddy.com's Dan McTeague says traditionally in Kelowna - gas stations like to make about 12-cents-a-litre - but right now it's costing them $1.06 to buy it - so up come the pump prices.
And not only that, McTeague says in mid-April, the Canadian standard changes from winter blend to the more expensive to produce summer blend..
"Refineries are required to add, and to blend more expensive additives into their fuel mix, to ensure it doesn't become volatile as temperatures rise seasonally with spring and summer," he says.
McTeague says this means we could see more price hikes as upward pressure forces wholesales prices higher - possibly by as much as 3-cents-a-litre in the coming months.
At last look, GasBuddy.com had 4 Kelowna stations still at $112.9 and one at $112.8.
In Vancouver - some prices have jumped about 10-cents-a-litre to $1.38.
