The City of Kelowna is remembering those lives lost in the workplace.
Today marks the 35th annual 'Day of Mourning', which began in 1984.
Mayor Colin Basran went to Twitter to offer this message, "For those of you continuing to work on the front lines in healthcare, grocery stores, delivery services, janitorial, and especially those RCMP, firefighters, bylaw, our civic operation staff at the landfill, water treatments plants, thank you for your continued service."
More than two workplace deaths were recorded in British Columbia each week in 2019, according to WorkSafe BC.
