Kelowna RCMP are looking for a suspect who allegedly stole a truck in Rutland Friday morning.
Shortly after 7:00 am, police responded to a home in the 800 block of Irma Road, where they say a man hopped into Ford-150, left idling in the drive-way, and drove off.
Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says officers spotted the vehicle on Highway 33 heading towards Big White, but decided to call off a pursuit because the suspect was driving in a careless and dangerous manner.
The truck should be easy to spot - it's a black Ford F-150 quad cab with hot pink stickers on the rear window.
If spotted, the public is advised not to approach the pickup truck or any of its occupants and they are urged to contact their local police immediately.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cst. Cheryl Duggan of the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
