Kelowna RCMP reward kids for safety

Will be handing out treat coupons this summer
This summer, Kelowna RCMP will be handing out tickets to children!
No, not that kind of ticket…
Kids who are seen riding their bikes safely by wearing a helmet or walking their bikes across an intersection may just get a coupon for a treat from one of the RCMP’s partners.
“It’s more than rewarding safe behaviour,” says RCMP Corporal Jesse O’Donaghey. “It’s a great opportunity for our men and women to have a positive interaction (with kids), which we think may have a lifelong impact on that youth and on every youth in our community that we come into contact with.”
Additionally, any kids who are seen wearing a helmet that’s either broken or doesn’t fit may get a coupon for a free new helmet from BrainTrust Canada.
