Press release from Kelowna RCMP on May 4, 2020:
On April 29th, 2020, officers from the Kelowna RCMP Special Enforcement Unit (SET), assisted by other units of the Street Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on the 2300-block of Lillooet Crescent in Kelowna. This warrant was related to an active criminal investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the area.
During the search, police seized a quantity of suspected illicit drugs, believed to be fentanyl, methamphetamine, psilocybin, and cocaine, states Cpl. Nick Brodeur NCO-in-charge of the Special Enforcement Team as well as a significant amount of money.
Two people were initially taken into custody during the execution of the search warrant. The matter will be submitted to Public Prosecution Service of Canada for consideration of charges.
