Canada Mortgage and Housing says British Columbia's rental vacancy rate was slightly better than a survey it took last year at 1.4 percent, but the province still has some of the lowest vacancy rates in the country.
In Kelowna the vacancy rate improved from .2 percent in October 2017 to 1.9-percent this year.
However, it cost 9.4-percent more to rent in Kelowna with the average 2-bedroom apartment going for $1267.00.
Vancouver had the highest rents an average of $1649.00 for a two-bedroom. The national average was just over one-thousand dollars.
