Although spring has officially arrived, the City’s sports fields will remain closed following a cool and snowy winter. Residents and sports-enthusiasts are reminded to stay off the fields until they are officially open for the spring season.
Sports fields require extra care after a long winter season. The City will be testing irrigation systems and cultivating quality turf to avoid divots and holes which can lead to player injuries.
The Apple Bowl Track is currently open, ball diamonds are scheduled to open Friday, April 5th - and the remaining fields are planned to open Monday, April 8th, weather permitting.
Teams searching for a place to play in the meantime can call 250-469-8504 to book space on an open field.
