For the second time in as many months, Kelowna's high school students took to the streets today.
The environmental protest was one of many held around the world as part of the global Climate Strike, calling on federal leaders to take urgent action in the fight against climate change.
"It's arguably the greatest challenge of our generation. It's going to affect every single one of us, all around the world" said high school senior Lauren Moody.
Prior to the march, Westbank First Nation Chief Roxanne Lindley spoke out in support of the young protestors at a public rally in Stuart Park.
"To see the different age groups coming together to work together for a better future for all of us, that's what is important."
Following the rally, over a hundred students marched through downtown Kelowna chanting and cheering for change.
