Kelowna will benefit from additional child-care spaces.
The BC government has announced it's spending almost $928,000 to create 132 new spaces in the city - this includes spots for toddlers and children aged 3 to 5.
The money can be used to build new child-care facilities, buy land - and also for renovations, new equipment and furnishings.
The funds will be shared by Creative Advantage Childcare, the First Lutheran Church, Luann Early Education, and Okanagan Montessori Elementary School.
New Beginnings Early Learning Centre in Lake Country is also receiving funding for 50 spaces.
The province is spending a total of $33-million to create over 3,800 child-care spaces throughout BC.
