A 22-year-old Kelowna woman is recovering from serious injuries, and 24-year-old Vernon woman faces drunk-driving charges after a reckless incident over the weekend.
At around 11:15 pm Saturday, RCMP were called to Bottom Wood Lake Road in Lake Country where a woman was hurt after hanging herself out the passenger window of pick-up truck.
Police say she was ripped from the vehicle after her body hit a passing street sign.
The driver failed a roadside breathalyzer, and samples provided later at police headquarters came up twice the legal limit.
She's expected to appear in court on a later date.
