Kelowna General Hospital's Interior Heart & Surgical Centre is getting a big piece of fundraising.
For the fourth straight year, Kelowna Hyundai and Buy Direct Truck led Operation 200 - where the 200 vehicles sold raised $20,000 for KGH's cardiac care.
The big picture goal is to raise $100,000 for new equipment and patient care items, which allow for patients getting heart treatment to stay in the Okanagan, instead of traveling outside the region. $80,000 has now been raised over the four years.
The Auto Group's owner John Kot says it's a personal cause for him, as his daughter Jenessa was born with a heart condition.
Kelowna's Heart & Surgical Centre is one of only five in the province, and the only one east of Metro Vancouver.
