The city says both upper and lower sections of Knox Mountain Drive have been closed to vehicles, because of the extreme fire danger rating.
The Park will still be accessible, but by hikers and bikers.
Smoking is always banned in public spaces, with camps and barbecues also barred from city parks.
That's on top of the fire ban that's in effect for most of the province.
