For the first time since early August, Knox Mountain Drive will be open to vehicle traffic again starting Saturday morning.
Due to an extreme fire rating this past summer, only cyclists and pedestrians were been able access the road.
That fire rating has since gone down after cooler temperatures and showers made their way to the Okanagan.
Residents are reminded that smoking and campfires are banned in public parks, and are asked to report and smoke or fire in these areas by calling *-5-5-5-5 or 9-1-1.
The road is open to vehicles from 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, and noon to 9:00 PM on Sundays, while Knox Mountain Park is open daily between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
