Lake Country MLA Norm Letnick announced his support today for BC Liberal Leadership candidate Andrew Wilkinson.
“I took my time to see what each leadership candidate had to offer, including their visions and platforms – and only made my final decision after discussing their relative strengths with members in my riding,” said Letnick. “Andrew is brilliant - a strategic thinker, a compassionate listener, and a proven leader. His speech at the Kelowna debate about taking care of seniors gave me goose bumps.”
Norm Letnick becomes the 13th sitting MLA to join Team Wilkinson – a number eclipsing the supporters for all other leadership campaigns combined.
“Andrew understands our province and the people in it, from our youth to seniors. He has lived and worked as a medical doctor in small communities around British Columbia,” continued Letnick. “As leader and hopefully premier he will attract great people to serve British Columbians on issues important to us today and those the future has yet to surprise us with.”
Andrew and Norm announced his support during a leadership stop in Kelowna - Andrew’s third visit to the region over the past several months.
“Having the support of such an accomplished and hard-working MLA like Norm means a lot,” remarked Andrew. “I am committed to upholding the values of the BC Liberal Party and free-enterprise – the values that saw us elected for 16 consecutive years. We can get back to government, but only if we provide voters with a clear choice the next time they go to the polls.”
