Chiropractors in Kelowna and West Kelowna are again volunteering their time to treat homeless people at Kelowna's Gospel Mission.
Executive Director Randy Benson says the Chiropractor's donate their skills to help clients who can't afford it:
"I would say there's a real need for it, just like in the general population. All of us get aches and things like back aches, so it's no different from the population that we serve. Definitely those people have their problems, and it's a great service the chiropractors do," he said.
He says the adjustments bring relief to people and hope for a brighter, pain-free future:
"The couple chiropractors that were interested in giving back to the community - they came and contacted us to say we'd be happy to treat some of your guests. That's how it got started and it's been a great relationship."
Benson says many of those treated have injuries that keep them in pain and prevent them from working.
It marks the fourth straight year of the free service.
