A new action thriller is being filmed in Kelowna this summer, and the studio is looking for local, paid extras to audition.
The casting call takes place on Saturday, May 26th from 9AM to noon at the Westbank Conference Room.
There are plenty of roles to fill, including:
-Hotel staff and guests
-Wedding guests
-Gang members
-Prisoners and guards
-Policemen
-Spa customers
-Seniors (in a nursing home)
-General public
Okanagan Film Commissioner Jon Summerland says you don’t need an acting degree to audition.
“It’s mainly what you look like, not how you can act,” says Summerland. “They’ll look at you and size you up, and they’ll say “you’d work great for a policeman,” or “you’d be great for a gangster.” Then they’d have you try on your wardrobe and see if it all works.”
Anyone auditioning must be a B.C. resident, and must have a flexible schedule.
The movie is produced by Mind’s Eye and Goldrush Entertainment, and will be filming from June to July.
The title and cast of the movie is currently being kept under wraps until later in production.
