Police say speed and alcohol are potential factors in a fatal crash northeast of Lumby this weekend.
It happened just before 9 pm on Saturday, when a pickup truck with two people drove off of Mabel Lake Road, near Shuswap Falls.
The truck hit an embankment of rocks, which ejected both from the vehicle.
The 32-year-old man driving died from his injuries, while the 33-year-old woman was airlifted to hospital.
The RCMP says she's been released from hospital, and that it's still looking for potential witnesses to the crash.
