The Village of Lumby says a wildfire near Cooper Creek is now under control, thanks to efforts from BC Wildfire crews.
As a result, the evacuation alerts that were issued for people living along Cooper Road and Hurt Road are being rescinded.
The fire started as the village is preparing to downgrade all evacuation orders that have been issued as a result of the flood, starting tomorrow morning at 8.
Officials say no water quality advisories are affecting people, and that the Local State of Emergency will be in effect until Saturday.
