A Kelowna man has been arrested in connection with shots fired in the city's north end on Saturday.
Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says just before 10:30 pm, officers were called to Coronation Avenue, between Richter and Ethel Streets, to look into a report of gunfire.
"RCMP arrived on scene and noted damage to the glass at the front sliding patio door which had been shattered, along with property damage consistent with being shot, to the home's wooden fence and to a motor vehicle parked directly in front of that residence," he said.
"Officers then gained entry into that home, where a distraught male was safely taken into police custody without further incident. Police then secured the scene, obtained a search warrant for the property, and subsequently seized a firearm from within the home."
At this time, O'Donaghey says police have no indication anyone was shot.
A 31-year-old man remains in custody and is expected to appear in Court today.
He faces several criminal charges, including firearms offences.
