A man was the victim of an unusual robbery this past weekend in downtown Kelowna.
While walking home at approximately 4:30 AM on Sunday, August 5th, he was approached at the corner of Gordon Drive and Cawston Avenue by a man riding a BMX bike and wearing a clown-themed face cover, who produced a large knife and demanded the victim’s wallet.
After being given the wallet, the suspect left the area, and the victim flagged down an RCMP officer.
The suspect is described as 5-foot-11, weighing around 160 pounds. In addition to the clown mask, he was wearing a dark hoodie, blue jeans and a white hat.
Attempts by police to locate the suspect were unsuccessful, and anyone with more information is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300, or remain anonymous by leaving a tip with Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
