A man who abducted a Peachland woman and drove throughout the Central Okanagan for several hours before letting her go has been sentenced to 14 months in jail.
With credit for time served, 36-year-old Jean-Francois Dufour will spend two more weeks in jail before being released on two years probation.
In August 2016, Dufour picked up a woman he met online in Peachland and confined her to his SUV as he drove through Kelowna, West Kelowna and Lake Country, before letting her go. The two had already met in person a few times before the incident and Dufour was arrested by police a few days later.
He pled guilty to unlawful confinement and uttering threats last October.
