West Kelowna RCMP are looking for a man they say was involved in a home invasion in the early morning hours Saturday.
Corporal Jesse O'Donaghey says two men entered a house in the 3000 block of Ensign Way, where once inside, one of the suspects physically struck a female resident.
“Shots were also fired inside the home prior to both suspects fleeing the scene in a vehicle which was later located and seized by police,” he said.
The female victim was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
O'Donaghey says they believe one of the suspects is John Michal Aronson, who has a history of violence and is considered dangerous. There are also multiple earlier unrelated warrants out for his arrest.
“In order to further the police investigation, the West Kelowna RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating John Michael Aronson,” said O’Donaghey, “If spotted, the public is cautioned not to approach him and urged to immediately contact their local police.”
Police believe the home invasion was targeted and not random.
