It's another perfect storm year for mosquitoes.
Rising water levels and high stream flows have made it ideal for the pesky critters.
The Regional District's Bruce Smith says the Districts mosquito control program has been in the works for over 30 years.
"The goal is to control mosquitoes, not eliminate them. We try to make it tolerable for people to live. We encourage people in the Central Okanagan to help us by removing any standings any water sources and any standing water in your property".
In addition to the treatment program, over 10 thousand roadside catch basins will be checked and treated in July and August to combat mosquitoes.
