There's a chance of showers for the first part of the long weekend, but then Environment Canada is forecasting a drying trend.
Meteorologist Alyssa Charbonneau says there's a bit of a disturbance coming through Friday night into Saturday morning that'll bring scattered showers and a mix of sun and cloud..
"But the temperature will begin climbing to a high of 23 on Saturday, and then on Sunday and Monday, we start to see this ridge of high pressure really start to build and pick up some strength," she says. "We're looking at sunny conditions and temperatures much higher than we've seen - reaching the mid-20's; up around 26," she says.
She says Tuesday is also expected to be sunny and warm with a high that could hit 29 degrees.
