RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating after a missing 52-year-old West Kelowna man was discovered dead near Shannon Lake Tuesday night.
The man was first reported missing just after noon on Tuesday, July 17th, and had last been heard from two days earlier.
Police searched his home and saw that his ATV was missing, leading to a search of the West Kelowna back country that involved a police helicopter, as well as members of the Central Okanagan Search and Rescue.
The search ended at approximately 10 PM, when the man's body was discovered.
The identity of the man has not yet been released at this time, and police do not believe his death to be suspicious.
