A pair of incoming weather systems could be bringing some showers to Kelowna over the weekend.
It’s expected to rain from Friday night into Saturday afternoon, but may clear up on Saturday night.
It doesn’t look like there’ll be any rainfall on Sunday, as it’s looking to be sunny and partly cloudy.
As far as the higher elevations go, Environment Canada meteorologist Chris Gibbons says there still could be some snow as far up as 1500 meters.
“Kootenay Pass has got a decent chance of seeing over 15 centimeters of snow for Friday night and early Saturday morning,” says Gibbons. “Most of the other highways should be low enough where you’ll just be seeing rain.”
Next week is expected to be sunny throughout, with temperatures potentially reaching the low-twenties later on in the week.
