The Okanagan Rail Trail is getting some more government funding today.
Kelowna-Lake Country MP Stephen Fuhr has announced $471,500 for the project, which is coming from the federal Canada 150 infrastructure fund.
The money is enough to fund 49 and a half km of trail construction.
Yesterday, the provincial government contributed over $777,000, as part of the city's application for BikeBC funding.
That came on top of a $500,000 contribution from the province's Rural Dividend Fund, which was announced earlier this month.
