West Kelowna City Council will hear about the next phase of improvements to the winery route on Tuesday.
Staff is recommending roundabouts be constructed at the intersections of Boucherie and Anders Roads - and at Boucherie and Hudson - which had been previously approved.
Staff also suggests that in order to increase safety, Boucherie should be blocked at Skyline Road and Stevenson to reduce the number of left turns.
The Wine Trail's next phase is to stretch between Stuart Road and Ogden Road and is to include pedestrian walkways, bike paths and narrower traffic lanes.
The initial cost for the next phase was $6.2 million - but with the added roundabout - the updated cost will be around $8.7 million.
If approved, it's hoped the project can be completed in 2018.
