Kelowna-Lake Country MP Stephen Fuhr will be in France next week to attend the 75th anniversary ceremony to commemorate D-Day and the Battle of Normandy.
It was June 6th, 1944 when Allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy to open the way to Germany from the West.
Some 359 Canadian soldiers were killed on D-Day while 13 thousand were wounded.
Fuhr is one of eight members of Parliament in an all-party delegation - which includes Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
