Central Okanagan Crime Stoppers is reporting several thefts from construction zones in the region.
In Kelowna:
- Two suspects were spotted at a construction site at Ledge Rock Court and used a torch to break into a storage unit. They made off with various electric tools, as well as fuel that they had siphoned out of a front end loader. They were then seen leaving the area in a black truck. The total value of the stolen items is over $25,000 dollars.
-A storage unit had been broken into at a site on Shayler Road, between May 4th and 7th. Eight street lights were stolen, each worth $1500.
-Another storage unit was broken into at a nearby site on Glenmore Road, and a generator was taken.
In Lake Country:
- A white and black 2008 bobcat U-T-V was taken from a construction zone on Lake Hill Drive. The vehicle is worth $25,000 dollars, and has a loading bucket accessory on the front, with no license plate.
