A Kelowna man charged with second degree murder, arson, and indignity to a dead body will stand trial next summer.
57-year-old Kevin Costin was arrested in May of 2017 following a lengthy police investigation that began in November of 2015, when emergency crews responded to a fire in West Kelowna.
It was there that they discovered the body of 37-year-old Hazel Budiongan, Costin’s wife.
Costin has been in custody since his arrest, and will return to court for his trial next year, which will take place from July 22nd to August 16th.
17 witnesses, including firefighters and RCMP officers who responded to the fire in 2015, are expected to testify at the trial.
