Mission Group will soon add three new buildings to Downtown Kelowna’s skyline.
Bernard Block, located on St. Paul St., will include two residential buildings and one for commercial and office space. In total, the project will add 500 new homes to the city.
Brooklyn is the first building to begin construction in a three-phase process. It will include 25 storeys with 178 units and a first-of-its-kind luxury rooftop lounge with a 360 degree view of Kelowna.
Mission Group's Executive Vice president, Luke Turri says adding residential homes downtown where people are going to live, work and play, will also support local business.
70 per cent of Brooklyn’s units are already sold.
Turri says the development and increase in population will offer an urban lifestyle that feeds into the type of downtown residents want in their community.
“When you add this many residents to a location, it’s going to automatically create a place that is safer and a place that people want to be.”
Construction is expected to be complete in 2021.
